A man in Escambia County will receive a new trial on allegations against him for rape and sodomy of a 7-year-old girl. The man was convicted by a jury. However, one of the jurors was not truthful about actually being a resident of Florida rather than of Alabama. As a result, the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals has set aside the conviction and ordered a new trial.
